On the Mania CAI..

It really is the bomb in terms of bling and noise, but im not sure whats going to happen on resale...

Has anybody got any suggestions on covering up the hole so mr and mrs buyer dont get suspicious that this beautiful stock NB has a dark past?

I imagine the washer bottle would cover most of the hole?

....and had a full engine rebuild a few thousand Km's ago :!: (got close to 140,000kms on mine at the moment)

(note - the factory air box that dave is running is mine also....must be a previous red car owner thing....which would explain why it was soooooo close to mine :P )

What type of power is your 1.8 producing Steve :?:

Right....well I suppose my point i was trying to make is more like......Heat soak or not. Its still quicker. Or more powerfull.......or at least has more torque. As MX5 Jade monkey accelarated a fair amount quicker up that hill than I did.
we were side by side.I actually probably had an advantage as my exit speed from the corner at the bottom of the hill was a fair amount quicker.

Are you talking about the engine or the ECU??

The car is running the 1.8 engine from an aftermarket ECU.

Any photos of your poly pipe intake Steve 818?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

It will be good to see the finished product.

One benefit the cowl intake has over your bumper intake is it will draw in ambient air from the vacuum created in the cowl.

If you're drawing in air from near the radiator (as do I with my car) you'll also be sucking in more radiant heat off the road surface.

Steve, looks like you've found a way to use the 2 holes in the nose cone. :D

How did you resolve stopping the water from working its way up into the air filter and inlet manifold? :?

I'm forecasting lots of rain and deep puddles once Steve gets his intake completed...
