Mania CAI

Postby Fuzzlet » Mon Jul 03, 2006 11:35 pm

Well I had a Mania CAI fitted today....what else can I say but \"OMG that thing is loud!!!\". I already had a Simota filter on there, so intake noise was pretty apparent under WOT, but now, even in normal driving its a bit louder, but under WOT, my gods it sounds hot! :D One very satisfied customer :)

It's only a small hole and you can't even see it once the intake is in place. :)

I'm with Fuzzlet on the noise though. It was the biggest smile mod I did to my NA6. No idea what the power gain was but it was worth it for the noise alone. :D :D

$250 fitted, because I already had the simota filter and housing
green_comet wrote:i was thinking of getting one, but i cant justify the price.... or the *hole*

The price I was iffy about at first, but I figured "why not", bit the bullet and got it done

I havent noticed much in power, but a trip to WSID in two weeks with a couple of mates might show an increase. As for smile factor, man the smile on my face after I have it a boot after leaving you guys....almost as big as the smile on my face after test driving the car

My old 3L Magna used to have an incredibly loud induction roar with the standard panel filter, and I missed that sound, but this mod has brought it back :D

It includes a shielded filter with a carbon fibre 3" tube that goes straight through the firewall.
