body flex

Postby butters » Mon Jul 03, 2006 6:02 pm

i have found that during some tight cornnering my interior lights are comming on. i supose this is because i'm getting excessive body flex? i own a '91 NA6.

do any other people suffer this issue? last time i drove it i found that the handbrake light is comming on around cornners too( this has only happened a couple of times).

i'm in the process of making my own body bracing, but i may also need the butterfly brace from FM too.

any comments?

hmm never had any of those problems with hard cornering.
if your interior lights are coming on maybe the switchy thing is loose?

muzza2 and myself recently made a rear 4 point chassis brace out of 4mm ally(post pics up soon). gonna start on a front one soon...

If your interior lights come on during corners you may need to adjust the doors striker. Or you may have a lose wire connection on the door switch. The hand break light is unusual.

In my old MX-6 Turbo the handbrake light came on when the brake fluid was low. Could be the same with the MX5

The interior light coming on could be the pin in the door jam.
