Well I've taken the plunge and bought some of these beautiful rims in 15x7 35 offset, now to wait a week till they get here from America, I guess that gives me time to decide on which tyres to go for. Will post pics soon.

With customs probably $1600, so not exactly cheap, but they are only 4.4kg ea!
Tyres I'm not sure, I can get the RA1's for $230ea fitted or I could go the toyo T1-R, I doubt I'd do more than 3 days a year so still weighing it up.

Great wheels Mossy, lovely finish to them. What colour, and where did you get them? Did you also get some spline drive nuts for them?

I am having the DO2s fitted to mine, but I plan on quite a few track days ...

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

I got the silver only because they don't come in gold for that size, ideally I would of loved the 14x7 19.5 offset gold ones but they're very hard to get and pricey too.

I got them from goodwin racing along with the spline drive nuts :D

I've decided on either RA1's or R888 does anyone know the wear rating on these tyres and are they loud on the road?

The Toyo's, or at least the RA!'s are a very quiet tyre, not like a D01 at all, but cannot comment on the R888's as never had them. If tracking it go the R888's as the RA1's tread pattern can get squirmy as it's not a devoted track tyre like the R888 is. Awesome road/track tyre combo though.

The R888 are more for the track than road. They do pick up all the rocks on the road and throw them around your guards. I have done 4 race meetings, a practice day and 2 of mine are close to done, nude and well past the wear markers.

Spoke to tyrepower and decided on the RA1's since they will be a street and track tyre, the azenis idea went out the window because i think they were too expensive at around $230 a tyre. Should have them fitted tommorow as my enkeis came today!

Do the R888s count as slicks for determining category for the NSW Club days?

I know my RA1s shouldn't, but a few more track days and I will look to change them over.
