NA Headlights

Postby STV » Mon Jun 26, 2006 10:42 pm

Hi folks..
I remember that someone on here had posted a link as to how to tighten up the play in the barn doors.

My passenger side is fine, but my drivers side assy seems to have about an inch worth of play in it which sends the light everywhere at night, and just plain bugs me!

If anyone could either post a link as to the orig 'how to', or write up and post their own, i (and a bunch of other NA owners) will think your a bloody legend!

Thanks and regards
Steve

Ive had the same problem on mine for a while now.. after finally taking a closer look, it was simply this \"white little plastic dome cap thingy\" that connected the motor to the actual light linkage. If u pop the bonnet and look down behind the light, whilst moving it by hand you will notice the plastic cap sliding along the linkage (only 5-10mm) mine had actually popped out of the metal locating arm and just had to be pushed back in, it seems to pop out every few weeks.
Its hard to explain with out having looked at it recently.... aah sorry... no damn photos handy!
Well thats at least what was wrong with mine anyway..
