Hi everyone,
I was just about to order a set of 16\" Starcorp lite 5 wheels yesterday, when i stopped and though about it for a sec..
Im looking at getting better wheels than i currently have, but then i dont know what size. I dont want to pay a fortune for tyres, but i do want lots of feel and grip..
I would like to know a few people's opinions.
which size wheel is better? looks wise, driving wise..
Which size has a better selection of tyres?
Which size is better for grip and feel?
Which size is better on track?
I love the look of these 15\" does anyone know of a wheel that looks similar? Dont want to spend mega $$ though.
All i could find sort of similar were these lenso's
cheers
Ryan

They look like Buddy Club P1's
shouldn't be too expensive second hand if you can find a set, they are around 350 a wheel new

Most people say that it is better not to get 16's as you are limited in your tyre choice (and likely to get more limited in the future, as tyre manufacturers continue to move away from this size). 15's and 17's are the way to go in this regard. And in my opinion (and many may disagree) 17's look much better on an mx-5. However, if you are after performance as the priority, 15's would be preferable due to the lower unsprung weight (on average about 30% less than 17's for the same type wheel, I think...).
