tyres for 15\" rims for an NA
I have just bought some original 15\" rims to fit to my 1991 mx5. Does anyone have any recommendations for tyres? I'm looking for something with a lot of stick in wet and dry. i had some yokos on the 14\" rims and the car slid all over the place in the wet.

Ok my above suggestion is probbably a little silly.
Proper tyre choice gets a little more complicated.
The way i look at it is
1. What exactly do you want the tyre for.
2. How many k's do you do P/A
for me tyer choice has become extreemly important.
for instance. Road Tyre compounds start to go off after 2-3 years
so i look at how many k's i do in that time frame. I attemt to choose a tyre compound which will last me around 1.5-2 years.
if you do 40k km in 1 year forgett the Falken RT 615's they'll probably only last you for 6mths or so.
if yo do 10k km per year......perfect. even better if you like the odd raceday thrown in.
also be wary what climate you drive in......I'd personnaly hate to drive on The RT 615's in a daily situation down in Melbourne. They need warming up. City traffic.......the'll only be marginally better than the Yoko A539's or C drives as far as grip goes. Out on the country road....in the twisties....no problem.
Sydney in winter makes them reasonably hard work in peak hr traffic....they still need warming up there too in winter.
so an apropriate tyre for the type of driving you do....is slightly different for everyone.
so now tell us what you really need.

i have recently put on a set of kuhmo escta ku31 (195/50 r 15) on my na6. i've dríven about 500km with a couple of spirited drives and i can say i'm very immpressed. esp at $130. others i looked at
falken azenis st 115 $200- more street than rt615 but being super seaded
hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212
yokohama AVS ES100 (popular choice)
how much do you want to spend? how many km do you want out of them? are they going to be your daily drivers or wkend specials. if wkenders i'd go rt615 or r888 if your real keen
i chose the kuhmo because they rated well in a motor mag test as well. they are very progressive and sticky. these replaced the old yokohama advan novas that had warn the insides. the kuhmo on the front would keep up with the advans once the advans where warm. the advans were terible when cold.
