racing on 14\" rims was WOFTAM. Hence, I am purchasing a set of 15\"s to go to track days with
had a look through previous posts here & in the archives, & i'm genuinely curious about the specifics of the above. some of the things previously mentioned were:
better handling;
much more grip but handling not as sweet;
higher top speed at the cost of acceleration;
maintain speedo accuracy with wider tyre, i.e. 185/60/14=>195/50/15; &
cost & availability of sizes were also factors but these seem to have changed over time.
however, from previous posts it doesn't seem quite that cut & dried & i guess, like anything, it depends on your application?
