14\" Wheels on an NB8B

Postby Bevan » Wed Jun 07, 2006 4:39 pm

Has anyone done this? Is it possible to fit 14\" wheels to a 2001 model?

Is it not possible because of the brakes or will less positive offset push a rim far away enough from them not to worry? I realise a test fit is best but just wondering if it's physically possible before looking too hard.

Thanks!
Bevan :)

PS. This is for track only. :)
PPS. I realise Inf3ctor has 14\" rims on his NB8A but the brakes are different on that. 8)

Hi Bevan - ain't going to happen I'm afraid. I have never heard of a 14 inch fitting an NB8B. 15s though are a different matter. I have two sets fo 15s that fit the NB8B - two wheels are on the SE at the moment! Mania might have some or try BSA wheels in a 15 - there's a few of theirs that fit and are a reasonable weight. Pretty sure Daz for one has one style of the the BSA's. 8)

Thanks CT. Well, there goes the 14" mags with Yoko A032R's for $200 I was going to get.

And na, it's OK about the 15". I'm just casually looking around and if I find an absolute bargain, i'd go for it. :)

And BigDog... Shuuuudddup! :P

Yeh after 9 weeks of torture (like the old job wasn't torture enough! ) I scored a job doing a NSW/VIC/QLD server upgrade for a major bank. Pretty easy work and it's an income so all's well again finally...just as soon as I get paid though! :)

NFI what the actual work email is yet...will advise later on.

So glad to see that it stayed off topic and the original poster was happy with it going that way.

It was actually Craig who told me that racing on 14\" rims was WOFTAM.

Hence, I am purchasing a set of 15\"s to go to track days with on the weekend.

So now, to source a TorSen, and more BLING!
