After running around with no number plate for ages I decided to put it back on in an effort to reduce the anxiety every time I drive past a police car . I made up a bracket and bolted it to the tie down hook hole. This is the result - what do you guys think?

Possibly...
If I'd left that one on instead of making a stronger one I wouldnt have cut a slit in the front bar the other night when the numberplate got tangled in fence0wire, it would have just ripped off. The new one was strong enough to hold the car on the fence wire and stop it sliding back down the embankment onto the road, couldnt get the car to budge till we cut the fence up

I'm still really happy with my install.
And yes, it is attached to a bracket, not the nose.
