Mmm. Blue on Blue works for me. I was late in picking up this thread up....but I would have suggested really dark window tint if you were happy to retain the black colour. Having said that...tinting would still look good with the blue h/t.
I have a white-on-white with tinted windows...I think it looks good, and best of all, it makes Jules fitful and agitated everytime he sees it.
