cusco Zero-2 coil overs

Postby kula » Thu May 18, 2006 8:09 pm

hey all

just finished installing them and took the car around the block..
they feel pretty good.. on full soft they were very comfortable, and less rolly than my old Clubman Bilsteins.
then i went full hard and did the same lap, much better.. about as firm as the clubmans, maybe a touch less, but more controlled..

on full soft it still felt a bit taily on exit, full hard it was much more planted.

still feels like i need sway bars.

ill take some height measurements tomorrow but i think its dropped about 3cms..

the spring rate from what ive been able to find are Front 7kg/mm and 5 in the rear.

what are people running on damper settings?

Howdy Kula, they are pretty streetable spring rates so quite stiff bump/rebound should be quite acceptable. If it gets crashy then soften it off. I usually run the rear a couple of slicks softer to aid corner exit powerdown but I've found at least with the Tein SS it doesn't make as much of a difference as it does with the Tein Flex. I'm not familiar with the damping rates of the Cusco but I hardly think they'd be that far different to the Teins. You will still probably want sways - they will still make a decent difference to body roll. 8)
