S2000 racing seats? What a load of rubbish - they're covered in leather for goodness sake  Never yet seen a race car with leather seats for very good reason.

Well you need to look back a bit Casey - prior to around 1970 virtually every race car had leather seats, and on a practical level leather is a lot more fire resistant than almost all car seat coverings other than nomex and wool, so it really is a good choice for racing even now. Doesn't need to to slippery either - suede looks good and grips well....

I guess I'm looking forwards, not back. The performance version of the M3, the M3 CSL ditches the cooking version's leather seats for Alcantara, as does the top-line no compromise Ferraris etc. I couldn't pick a modern racing category where leather seats are used. However leather would be great for those brown undies moments

Mmmmmm Alcantara. Do you know a local upholster here hadn't heard of it and then tried to sell me some Warrick microsuede? Idiot.

Wow this thing still hasn't sold. I remember this ad being shared about late last year with the S2000 seats.

Unless it was and now it is being sold again. :?

I think the problem for me and a lot of others is not the width but the thickness of the back. It seems a lot thicker than the MX5s which means I can't get far enough back from the wheel & pedals.
OK if you are a short arse.

Compared with an M3's what?
1990 "TOY MX5" - Red, of course!
Kings, Konis, LSD, Genie system, grille, Voodoo knob, braces, 14 degrees ATDC, woodgrain dash, style bars and lots of work making the rubber bands go around faster.
