Due to popular demand (and a lack of interest in the other), we will now be going to Queen Mary Falls for Sundays run.
I am trying to get hold of the run sheet at the moment so I can work out a starting place.
We will be meeting the Gold Coast Chapter at Beaudesert and going from there.
Morning Tea and Lunch will both be BYO so you can just turn up on the day but let me know if you are interested in coming just so I have a rough idea of numbers.
I have never done this run before so if anyone has any suggestions on a starting point and how we get to beaudesert, put it forward.
Watch this space for further details.

To whom to I pay my $4 and can they come head hunt me/ introduce themseves to me for it? I'm easy to find, the stranger with the purple hair and victorian number plates !

It has been suggested by members of my household who know what they are talking about in terms of geography, that we could meet at Yamanto shopping centre car park and traveling from there towards Boonah through a lovley open cournty road with nice sweeping bends to Beaudesert to meet the GC chapter.
I traveled this road home from McLeans bridge last week and I must say it was a nice road to blow some cobwebs out and nice sweeping twists. (cautionary signs suggested most of the corners be taken at 70km/ph speed limit along there is 100km)
Just my 2cents... disregard at will !

OK folks, here's the general outline for the Brisbane chapter:
Meet: Maccas carpark at Goodna, Gregory's/UBD 216 M13. Take the slip road off the Ipswich Motorway and follow it for about 1 km beside the motorway. Do not diverge left into Goodna.
Time: 0830 for 0900 departure
Route Out: Goodna, Yamanto, Peak Crossing, Boonah, Maroon Dam for BYO morning tea stop. Then Maroon Dam to Queen Mary Falls for BYO lunch. There is a cafe across the road from the picnic area. BYO rubbish bags.
Route Home: Queen Mary Falls, Legume, twisty bits, Woodenbong, twisty bits, Rathdowney (ice cream?), Beaudesert, Brissy.
Bring your UHF CB

Yep, Coulson - Beaudesert road is good. People might want to come home to Ipswich/Brissy that way.
Everyone make sure you have full fuel tanks because it's about 350km round trip BNE-BNE

GC normally meet at the GC and go via a devious twisty route to the meeting point. The GC chapter leader will broadcast details soon I expect.
The chapter leaders have decided to meet at Maroon Dam. I'm just doing this notice and some organisation as requested by the Brisbane chapter leader.
Visitors are normally welcome to attend club events but must pay $4 insurance levy per person and must abide by our rules. Check with your chapter leader.

Thanks JBT,
Gold Coast Chapter will be meeting at the usual Spot:
Meet Elsie Laver Park, Mudgeeraba (exit 79, western roundabout, 40 yards south of the roundabout)
8:30 for 9:00 departure.
I'm sure Jim has got a wonderful drive planned to Morning Tea.
