I've done it once on my car already but with dads help

Head job. Got it...

Sounds like I will be removing the head which is actually quite good as it will give me a chance to remove the restrictors from the intake ports...

Edit: spelling...

I wonder why? :?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

This sounds weird. Pumps either give enough fuel to the injectors that regulate it or they don't and those symptoms sound like overfuelling...

Might be onto something with the fuel pump!

I sometimes get a couple of flatspots in the low rev range. New injectors helped heaps, but problem is still sometines there, but not as bad.

How do you check if it's the fuel pump?

How expensive to replace?

Would a different type of pump be of any advantage if needs replacing?

i think mine costed about 300 but i cant quite remember sorry

if it is the fuel pump (thats what im concluding to cause of what happened on my mx) i dont think it matters if its a stronger pump unless your car is not stock that is :)

Mines a similar thing. Sometimes on first start up it blows a fair bit of smoke. When I give it a bit it blows some smoke. Also tends to use oil when i rev it heaps. Mines done 180k so im tending towards needing valve stems done. Having said that the engine is gonna get rebuilt for turbo soon

As for flatspots I get that sometimes. Mainly when moving off from a standing start, it will feel sluggish, ill give it more, and that doesnt help...
