Not too sure about the weight of the 18s but will be using the BBS 16s for the track!

well I'm old school too. 18inch looks overcooked. same wheels in 16 inch would be red hot in my opinion. but at the end of the day......Its your own opinion which counts. like Big Dog said once....after i hads critizised his choice of wheels......wheels are a very subjective thing.he hit the nail on the head.

If you like it......thats all that matters.

Looks fantastic, like the black and red contrast.
Can still remember when 15's were monster on little cars...
Big tasteful wheels look the ducks guts I say.

Thanks BlackMX
i remember when i brought the 16 inch BBS which was over 10 years ago. 16s were the biggest you could get....there were very few 17 inch wheels let alone something that would fit a mx5. the wheels and tyres cost me a fortune back then!!! the tyres alone were around $400 each, compared to now at $150 each

Go the 18's! They Look sweet!

Don't they rub though?? rougher ride??

.....my 17's only just clear the front and rub often enough up in the guards.

Luke.

So the vote ended up 17 to 17?

Surely that should convince you that you need to buy a set of 17s. :)

I think if you got the same style of 16s it'd both look better and have a better ride.

I voted before.

Purely on looks, I voted after. I think the black rims compliment the hardtop really well plus the chrom lip complimenting the little chromy bits the 5 has. :)
