Toyo Tyres...who's got/had/used them?

Never dríven on a good toyo tyre.

Squishy, horrible confidence uninspiring things. The grip is there but they feel aweful.

T1Rs fitted this morning. Comments will follow the flogging in period over the next week or two.

So how are they? My Direzza's are about shot, so while wheelspin in third and fourth gear in the wet is all well and good I'll be in the market for new boots very very soon.

I'm thinking the Direzzas might be my only option again, but if the T1Rs are recommended I'll give them a go.

Dave is pretty happy with his i think. I have dríven it and couldn't say they were any better than the PZeros, but then they were pretty good too. I picked up a set tonight off ebay for $500 in 215/40x16 size so I'll let you know what I think in a few weeks when my PZeros need replacing (actually only the rears need replacing, but you can't get the PZero Neros any more so I'll have a good pair of these on offer soon).

Might be the quality and width of rubber on the road I'm pretty sure I could light up your 14" Hardy Hangons in 5th and probably 6th too Sean Then again, I'm pretty sure you can too!

Well that's only at 3000rpm when the handbrake comes on (must disconnect it one day - she's wearing my rear brake pads too quickly ). Nothing like the TorSen kicking the rear out everytime you touch the throttle . When the tyres were new and with the open diff it would only spin one but at least the car kept nice and straight...

Hadn't thought to look on EBay. Were they brand new? I was thinking of a wider size for the rear too - 215/40 makes the OD too small (over 2% smaller), 225/40 (less then 1% under) is a good match but the factory wheels (6.5") aren't wide enough.

My wheels are 16x7 Casey, and 2% won't worry anything too much - I'll use the satnav to check the speedo accuracy. Would you fit 225s under the guards without scraping? And yes, they are new - still have casting tits and red paint on them! Just hope they are not cheap look-alikes....
