Alternator Light on

Ok my Alternatot light is on. I have checked fuses ect and even checked the charge rate and I have 14.7 volts :D so why the f##k is the ALT light on :cry: . Any Ideas

Took ALT toSparky he checked and it works fine
Put back on with new belt and the light is still on :cry:
checked with the sparky he has no Idea unless i leave it with him

14.7 volts sounds a little high. I thought they usually charge in the 13.5 to 14 volt range. Maybe your diode in the inst cluster is broken?

could it be linked to your recently installed autronic which i assume replaces the standard ecu?

Not an Autronic problem this is my other car I just got
And its not an cluster problem had a spare and swap them withe the same result :cry:
