Pirelli Dragons

I noticed that Bob Jane is selling the new Pirelli Dragons to fit the NA6 for $129-00 each. They look the goods - anyone have any experience with them....

Hey, jump at $130!

feedback soon... just got 4 Pirelli Dragons, which are normally around the $240 mark (Bob Jane Edgecliff).

These seem pretty good so far with all of one day's driving - not enough to get rid of the mold compound yet! Not quite sure how they compare to my old Toyo Proxes yet either, but they feel pretty close, and sticky so far!

Due to a very bad expenditure needed to pass rego last year, I took a budget performance recomendation of Ceat Tornadoes (supposedly made by Pirelli), which only cost about $135 a wheel.

Being italian, it is supposed to be pronounced chee-at. I think they would be better pronounced as s**t.

So I can't compare directly with my lovely old proxes, especially as I have moved, and need to go back to old home to test on same fave twisty fast roads! tomorrow... :-)

Actually according to here http://www.bobjane.com.au/Specials/InstantDiscount.asp they are $109 each, or $101.50 if you buy 4.

I was all set to buy some BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tyres this week, might take a REAL close look at the Pirellis.

what size did you quote?
In the catalogue online they range from
$99 DRAGON for 175/65 R14

to $229 for DRAGON 235/45 R17

but they don't list 205/45 R16s... mine
probably slightly cheaper than the last I guess

The price I was quoting was for the 185/60-14. They are now back at $129 each.

I ended up buying Bridgestone GIII, as they seemed to be a better tyre and at the price I was quoted, very competitve with the Dragon.

The 205/45-16 will be very close to the 17 price. I must say that you should consider 215/40-16 if you are fitting to 7\" rims. They will fill them better and leave some tyre over the edge to protect the rim. This is a stock size for the MGF so it is somewhat common, but not as common as the 205/45-16.
