Wheel Weight - What is a decent weight?
What is a good average weight of a decent wheel?
I'm looking at buying some BSA wheels and selling my Work ones. The wheel I am looking at is 7.5kg. Is that a decent weight...not to heavy but not really light?
I know nothing about wheel weight so I thought i'd ask to get some comments. Cheers in advance

Good luck finding anything in 16 under 6kg! You will more likely find 15s in the 6-8kg range, 16s in the 7-9kg range. Most mass produced wheels are not that light, but if they are in the above ranges they will be fine. I run both a 4.5kg rim and 7kg rim on the race car and there's bugger all difference to drive on them - hardly noticeable. It's really an issue when the wheels weight 12-15kgs which is crazy stuff.

Very nice indeed. didn't someone else put an set of 18 like that on thier Red NA?
The mania thing was really in redsponse to Chris....I would have to assume that the weight they quote is on the mark. Those particular wheels are everywhere....even Tempe tyres has them on thier website.
Sure they are not my cup of tea either but by what CT is is saying . It seems these starcorps are a bargain for what they are.

I'd be looking into 16x7s myself - it's worth the extra 1/2 inch. Ask Mania about Alt wheels - there's some nice ones floating about but availability is sketchy I think.
Wheels are about either looks or performance. I have found that generally good looking wheels are not the right offset or size or are not light. Sometimes, you can get the right combo, but it's $600 a wheel! Case in point, try finding a 16x8 in the right offset and stud pattern for an MX5. The closest I've found is Buddy Club Racing at P48 or P20. Why they don't do a P35 is beyond me! And these are close to $500 a wheel!
And yep, the starcorps are definitely a bargain if they are your cup of tea.
