They have been a long term sponser of the Vic Club. Discounts offered to club members.

All three of my MX5s have been there for various things, ranging from servicing, clutch replacement and smash repairs.

They will be my first choice if I get around to getting Tweety re-painted.

What did you want to get done?

Had pumpkin repaired there after having been rear-ended a few years ago. Fantastic result. As a club member, I got to borrow Dick's ute while my car was being repaired. As of the ad in March's club magazine, he was still offering this to club members. Wouldn't take a '5 anywhere else for paint & panel work.

Cheers,
Alf.

If you stick to a mechanic that only does MX-5's / Mazdas then they'll know all the common problems, might have spare parts laying around to fix/test issues and should be able to fix everything as fast as or faster as any other mechanic as they'll know what they're doing... well they should.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I had a terrible experience with them when compliancing my roadster. I now go to Tony at Ful-Tech auto for any servicing or mechanical work. He and the guys there know their stuff and were great helping me out.

I had my car fixed by them after a P plater ran into me and have got no reason to fault their paint/panel work.

For all the mechanical stuff that i cant do myself the car goes to Al at Max Kirwan Mazda in Preston :P

How much roughly do you think it would cost me for a complete respray of my NA?

Don't know how much they'll charge to paint an NA. Price will also depend on if you're a Vic Club Member as they offer discounts to members.

He may not be the cheapest, but the end result will reflect what you pay.

Best to go visit them and get a quote. Good luck! :D

Why is that??

Best to reply offline. Forums aren't the place to throw around experiences about club sponsors.

I'd guess about $4K. Good work though.

So only good experiences, but not ALL experiences? I agree that slander is not for forums, but then ALL experiences should be sent to PM, I don't think its very democratic to only allow positive feedback regarding a club sponsor. I understand how damaging defamation can be, especially online, and one persons view is always their own, and might not always be the greater reality, so maybe posts should read more like :

"Hi, i'm interested in taking my car to Sab's Automotive Experience, can anyone who has had experience with them good or bad, please PM me"

P.S. I have no experience or affiliation with any garage mentioned here, except Al, who has always been most helpful!
