just spoke to maztech, not only is he going to put a base map on me ecu he also wants to know what injectors, turbo, ignition etc. this is excellent service as he is matching my ecu with my project roughly. im not expecting everything will be smooth sailing when i turn the key for the first time but hey its better than the simple stock base map.

ive only had my microtech a short time but i got to admit there customer support is A1.

i posted this here aswell sean to see who knows what..... well i have my ecu back from maztech in melb. its reconfigured and also ready for my 460cc injectors. he said once it is in i will be able to drive it to him for tunning as he played a little further with the ecu to make sure it knows its running a turbo. he told me not to drive it hard or anything silly just drive it to him. now he gave me a sheet which i understand fairly well as far as the diagram for the microtech goes but i cant make heads or tails of the haynes factory ecu diagram. also im confussed as to what will run the \"power steering pressure switch\" or the \"A/C relay\" or the \"inhibitor switch\" (what ever the hell that is)for example. do you leave the old ecu to run these sorts of things or do you cut the old one out completely?

As far as I know you leave the stock ECU in to do those things.

so to clarify its as follows

igition output 1,2,3,4
injector drive 1,2,3,4

T.P.S. input
oxygen sensor
fuel pump relay
air temp sensor
water temp

crank input 1,2

vac boost

and of course battery ground etc...
is this all to do?

if this is this the case its looking pretty easy...and the ecu dude wants $200 to do this

ha

P/S Pressure switch just Idles up the car when on full lock
the A/C is a bit tricker but can be done

thanks heaps russ...onwards and upwards.

BTW now is what im doing piggybacking? if so is this good or bad? should i just take it to maztech and get it installed there as a standalone although this would cost heaps.

Couple of things
1) Does the Microtech need a proportional TPS
2) Does it have extra inputs/out puts If so this could be used to drive the A/C
3) You dont have to worry about the P/S Switch
4) Are you going to try for P&P or run a new harness
This is probable the best Option as you can get full Sequential Injection
This is what I did for My old Man's NA6 I also modifided the T/Body to take a proportional TPS
And I just finished a P&P autronic into my NA8 Clubman :D

ok, no A/C,,,its gone. now proportional tps. i dont understand. it does have extra inputs/outputs. i already have a new haness. as you have gathered by now i know little but feel i can wire it up. so what is tps? the only reason i ask all these piggy vs standalone questions is it really a big difference in performance or not just doing the piggy style?
