Shock problem? Suspension? A bit confused...

Postby JSE » Sun Apr 23, 2006 3:38 pm

I am talking about the front right side of the car. When driving I hear a rattling noise coming from there. Its rather annoying and you can hear it very much so when driving beside those big concrete blockades that council workers use. When going down ramp I hear a pretty loud crunching noise and when going down gutters with my front right tyre being the last to drop off a driveway its more of a thumping drop then a cushioned bounce.

Any help? Is my shock busted badly or is it something else? If so do I need to get it re-conditioned (it's a Bilstein Shock).

Maybe...the camber has been adjusted and changed on my car :? Bit of a puzzle still though. Any other thoughts from anyone would be great

It could be stuffed bushes, loose anti-roll bar, loose/stuffed shock, loose wheel, stuffed bearing etc. You should take the car to a reputable suspension place for a check and report.
