Postby irwin83r » Sat Apr 08, 2006 7:35 pm

just wondering what suits you guys use, and or what you would recomend for someone on a tight is budget looking to get into supersprints in the future.

i seen a deal where you get suit gloves boots and underwear from ERG for around 900 FIA approved.

this a good deal? what you guys recomend??

cheers

You don't need the undies, unless you like scratching.

Revolution usually have pretty good packages.

Suit, Gloves, Boots, Helmet.

Remember, single layer suit, or you will toast yourself.

For numbers, I can pot you on to a place to buy a sheet of magnetic stuff, then you buy numbers triangle for battery and stick em on to the magnetic stuff. But first you need to get confirmation of number availability.

speak to me tomorrow.

Have a look at ebay.com.au

They are selling OMP suits for $450.
New and FIA approved.
I think the retail is about $ 950

Thanks

Don't think you even need an FIA anything for Supersprints so there's a saving for you right there. Don't spend money on things you don't need. A $40 pair of cotton overalls will work fine. You don't need FIA boots either, just closed in leather/suade shoes, Puma Pit Cats for $80 will be perfect. These items will be perfect for everything except actual CAMS sactioned motor racing.

You can actually get ex- US air force flight suits on eBay for $50. Not FIA approved (I assume), but the fire-protection is just as good. Search for "Nomex flight suit"
