I got a quote yesterday of $215 a tyre for the 615's.
Thats almost double the cost of the 115's..
And thats for a higher profile tyre...
I was tempted by the 616's - but am not sure its needed unless you've spent up big on suspension mods???

nope. the guys at the shops only wanted to sell me 185/16 14 sizes. i thought they were all pritty slack with that. i thought they'd mention other legal sizes but didn't bother. i wasn't sure what sort of 195 14 is allowed. do many people use 195's with no power steer. just thought it might become too tram-linee etc.

just picked my car up from fulcrum after a wheel alignment. have 1.19 -ve front camber instead of the previous +ve 0.46. all i can say is wow! it really disguises the crappy tyers. it just goes through the corners at similer speed with no complaints at all...... kinda takes some of the fun out of it. i'll just have to try harder now

i'll still get some tyers but i think i'll put my suspension mods on hold for now. i just can't get over how well these things handle. i'm so happy with it. (supose it's not that hard after owning a 4wd)

195/60/14 is only very slightly higher profile than 185/60/14. The second value is a % of the first, therefore the 195 is high by 60% of the difference being 10mm, totalling 6mm.

i have 205/45/16's on my car with no power steer & a smaller than standard steering wheel & it drives fine. a good wheel alignmemt does make heaps of difference.
