Mount Donna Buang - VIC

Im surprised nobody has put this up yet??
Mt. Donna Buang (spelling is prob wrong) but you drive through warburton and as you leave you turn left at the big sign which says \"Mt. Donna Buang\".
Snows up there over winter and so cold ur nuts climb back into your stomach, but heaps better than the black spur in my opinion. Long quite tight and thin road with many corners including a couple of hairpins, spped limit of 100Km (not that there are any cops) most ive been able to get up to is 80Km on average but that was drifting the old ford around there after weeks of practice. Basically no traffic in the summer besides the odd tourist who you can easily pass as they are doing about 40Km the whole way. Unfortunalty havnt had the time to take the NA for a spin but i cant wait to. Got to be carefull though, you lose your line and you wil either end up in the side of a large rockface or down a steep slop dodging trees.

Mount Donna Buang.......I hardly know her :!:
Yes I agree, it is a fun drive. My wife & I had a run up there a couple of weeks ago. A climb up the look-out tower is a must. Funny isn't it, drive up that mountain like a crazy man & lovin' it......then crap myself climbing a perfectly safe look-out tower. I hate heights!

Just did this road today, thanks for the tip! Great stretch of raod, no traffic at all, lots of nice twisty curves, lots of fun :) Just a shame that the cloud was so low that there was no point going up the tower.

Have to agree - the drive up is great (on the bitumen surface) and the tower is terrifying. I hate heights too and the flies were prolific

In addition to the sealed surface, there is also a dirt track (on one of the routes from Healesville) I do not recomend this one is the track is very narrow and goes on forever! Definitely not a good 5 road unless yo have a rally pack!
