Ahhh, I see. Full hard is easy to tell as it's a definite end to the movement, but you're right, going through to the other end get's vauge. I had it originally at 14/13 f/r clicks from full hard because I thought that was the mid point, so that would make it only 2/3 from full soft, no wonder it felt under-dampened.
I've been very carfull not to turn very hard at all. I'll make sure I count back from full hard from now on.

Yeah the instructions say not to go past full-soft so you should be careful.
From memory, I adjusted it to 30mm from the bottom of the threaded bit to the bottom of the lower collar and that is about 325mm all round. Damping wise, I swap between 2 settings for road, 8/8 and 15/15 for bumpy roads.
2/5 seems to work well for fast road/track, but I find that it's too firm up front unless you're really stropping along and braking hard into corners, etc. If I leave it on 2/5 and just coast into a tight corner the front end gets a little washy, so I find the softer 8/8 setting is more fluid for 6-tenths driving.

Had some clarification on the adjustment of these...
Hi Brad,
If you adjust the mechanism all the way in [clockwise ] that is the hardest position . Back it off 16 clicks and that is softest .
The extra clicks you get is the result of free play in the adjusting mechanism. Not a problem, driving or what ever can not damage it. Because after 16 clicks there is no further change.

Interesting that the instruction book says exactly the opposite!!!!!
Something like;Caution do not go past 16 clicks- This will damage the shock.

Did a few runs up Mt Cootha last night. Started at 12/12 which was very nice, great turn in and excellent bump absorption with MUCH more grip. Once at the top I set them to 16/14 and was just blown away. So positive, so predictable, so much grip and still a less harsh ride than the Bilsteins. Drove then all the way out to Rochdale on this setting and they were actually more comfortable over roads I know well, though still very firm. Settled on 10/8 which seems so be a good balance for day-to-day use.

Yeap, have to agree with you on the grip and ride.....thats why I love my Tein Flex.

Still very happy although I sometimes feel that the Kings may be a bit harsh on sharp bumps. The ride height adjustability of the Teins appeals to me though. I also hear that Eibach springs are not as harsh as the Kings and combine well with the Konis. How do the Teins behave harshness wise compared to Kings? Also what's the 12/12, 10/8 about?
