ProClip - wanna mount a device in your car?

Postby Amanda » Mon Mar 27, 2006 5:12 pm

Has anyone seen this before?

http://www.proclipusa.com/home/home.aspx

you can attach phones, pdas, ipods etc to the inside of the MX5 (or any make of car) without drilling holes. Looks pretty coool..... I want to get the audiolink adapter and attach my nano in my car this would be the perfect accompaniment to the cable. These guys have a 2 part system that allows you to attach devices. Firstly you get the clip that suits your car, it actually clips into your dash/console etc depending on the make of your car, then you buy the adapter that suits the device PDA, iPod (they have one to suit pretty much all iPods to date) or mobile phone....

Thought this might interest some on here. Does seem a bit pricey tho.

EDIT: Fixed a typo

Not a bad idea, but looks kind of... errrr... dorky :?

If you're driving you don't really need the screen - just choose a playlist before you leave. Mine sits quite comfortably in the centre console or on the passenger seat. The passenger seat method is handy for hitting the next button, but the disadvantage is that you yield control of the ipod to your partner

I dont think it looks dorky at all, besides you just unclip it if you want to remove it for any reason.

The cable for the audiolink I wish to purchase isnt long enough to place ipod on seat or in centre console. Glove box or a cradle of some sort is the only real option. Knowing me, I like changing tracks all the time... having ipod in glovebox wont do for me

AJ - you are welcome, glad someone sees the benefits of the proclip
