The alignment of the tabs was just appalling

I couldn't get the bolt in from the rear initially but tightened down the top bolts a bit and then in it went. Richee's, on the hand, didn't have that problem. The angle of the tabs was OK on both.

I had a good snoop at your style bar yesterday JBT, as Wayne has offered to buy me one for beer!

I was very impressed. It looks even better in the flesh than in the pictures. It has a very nice solid feel too.

I wasn't sure at first if I was sold on the shape, as the bar fits the curve of the NB seats more than the NA, and pops up at the top on the older cars, but yours looks great.

Did it come with the bling spacers, or did you buy them separately?

Yep, comes with bling spacers but I didn't use them on mine :? . Were you looking at Keith's car which was parked next to mine at the Bearded Dragon? He used them under his seat belt shoulder brackets. I used the originals and would need to get longer bolts to use the bling ones on my car.

How long did it take for you to receive your style bar from drifta? I paid on Tues via internet banking, so just wondering when they'll turn up.

 Sorry for late reply...been offline for a week...
driftar32 took about 8 days to deliver once the bank confirmed payment, which was 9 days total.
He really packs his bars well. I notice you have an 01 nb8b like me...make sure when it gets installed that you only use the big 'bling' spacer and a couple of washers to JUST clear the seat belt tower so you have lotsa top clearance. You will also need a selection of wahsers and 2 high tensile bolts for the 2 tabs...about 6 cm long will do. Everything else is supplied. Lotsa luck and you wait till you see how good it looks; not to mention how good it feels!
Have fun!

Only power tool needed would be something (like a Dremel) to cut the seatbelt tower plastic covers neatly.

Here is the list of nuts/bolts etc. I bought for my install:
qty 2, M10 x 25 h/t bolt
qty 2, M10 Nyloc nut
qty 6, flat washer to suit M10 bolt
qty 2, Spring lock washer to suit M10 bolt
qty 2, M10 Deep nut (about 15mm long)

You also need to go here and download the Racing Beat PDF installion instructions.

It will probably take you 2-3 hours to do - or half that time if you have a previously experienced person there.

Be sure to check the height of the spacers that go in the seatbelt towers under the base of the bar, ours were poorly made and were different heights. We had to make up shims to get it to sit correctly.

Do you have any pics of your car ma64rk (I assume your name is Mark :?: :!: ) love to see how your car looks! What side of Melb are you on, if you can try and make one of the Thursday night meets they are usually around Port Melb, Williamstown and theres even talk of the Dandenongs one time. See the Events section for more info....

EDIT

Wow seems those US people get them delivered out here pretty quickly. Which makes me think that driftar might not actually have his bars in this country at the time of the Ebay sale. Anyways, doesnt bother me too much especially given I am not going to be doing the fitting.
