65rwkw stock? Wow.

Did you bump the timing? Change the plugs or leads?

jonno.

edit: Ah it would have been running rich. Nm :?

errr, i was under the impression 65 rwkw is the norm for a 1.6.. i don't know if the previous owner bumped the timing or not, but for the dyno it was on BP Ultimate 98 octane. had a buckled rear wheel at the time too :|

Don't worry I'm being the newb as usual but I myself was under the impression norm was more like 55-60. 65 being the high end if you're lucky.

Looks like you are. Congrats =)

Mine must be down on power, only made 64.1 with zorst and Lochie intake.

And made about 59 when dead stock... (note dyno sheet is HP, translate to 59kw.)

V-Spec wrote:I made 87.4Hp on the exhaust shop dyno in Brendale a couple weekends back. Dyno chart looks exactly the same as Zoombie's only mine had km/h on the bottom.

Had a pod filter stuck on the afm right next to the stinking hot heat sheild as well. My first run made 87.1 and the next two were both 87.4 which shows a bit of consistency.

So about 65kW too. But isn't your BRG a 1.8?

Revlimiter ;)
For 1,2,3.

Above that, maybe ~7000 rpm for 4th and 6800 for 5th.

and keep in mind that the tacho is optimistic, so you should pretty much always shift above 7...

Unmodified 1.6s make ~55-58kW at Caulfield Jag, and run obscenely rich.
Up to ~65kW with minor mods.

Variations on other dynos are due to calibration.

That's a bit broad Matty, there are plenty of things that will effect your Dyno reading besides it's calibration...

Tyre pressure, condition of engine, ambiant temp, engine temp and a million other things, hell even the amount of pressure they strap the car onto the dyno with will effect it's output.

Sure, but calibration should account for things like air temp etc to some degree.

My point was, a car that gets 55kW on one dyno may have just as much power as another car that gets 65kW on a different dyno...

Exactly. Back to back runs is the only way to compare dyno sheets.

Noob question...you can run the dyno fully stock can't you...I mean you don't need a new computer/ecu...because I remember that my old man wanted to run his modified Type R on the dyno but they said he needed a new computer to do so...is this because of FWD or Vtec or the fact that Honda's run off little mechanics and lots of computers haha???
