Qld Tech Night - GP Cars 15 March 2006

Postby Abyss » Fri Feb 24, 2006 5:56 pm

GP Cars have kindly offered to run a tech night for us on car care, showcasing their Swissol range of products.

So, if you want to get your car looking it’s best for that special occasion (Natmeet) or for everyday use, come and have a look at what these products can offer.

GP Cars also have a large range of other motoring/motorsport related products in their showroom that you can see on the night.

Please let me know if you are going to attend.

Where:

GP Cars
Unit 14/81 Bishop St
Kelvin Grove

When: 15 March 2006

Time 6.30pm

Thanks

Peter

I am definately going.

As a suggestion, what about making it a show and shine event and having the GP Cars guys judge it?

Mid week and on dusk probably isn't the best time for a show & shine, could cover up some faults however.

Most people would be coming straight from work.

There will be Pizza & softdrink provided on the night.

I was thinking of you, you don't have time to prep the car now, it's only 3 days away  You'll be doing all nighters!

If there are a heap of people out there that want to do it speak up.

Me. But my paint is a bit old, swirley and sad in some places due to bird bomb damage  to do the Swissol justice. I've got some other stuff I have to use up yet too. :frown:

Me, I'll still be using the random orbital with my Meguiars products. I can't justify Swissol at $125 for a small tub!

But, I did learn a few things on technique.

Sabre, head over to www.waxit.com.au - They have Swissol too, but a lot of other brands that will do just as good a job (if not better) and at a much further reduced rate.

I use P21s... you can buy the kit which includes the car bath, the paint cleanser, the wax and the wheel cleaner for $99.00..... Excellent product and I believe it to be the best value for money on the market.

That was good, thanks Abyss!
I learnt that sabretooth likes my camera :D

It also gave me motivation to swissol the rest of the NB this morning :)
The stuff is so easy to use: to wash, clean and wax by hand was 4 hours.
I'll grab some shots later.

In the meantime, a small selection of photos from last night.

Got me motivated too...

My car has a layer of waxing soaking in atm... Should be shiny when I take it off on Saturday...

Anytime Rhys, I hope most people got something positive out of it.

Just wait till you wash it next time, it will just about dry itself.

It's a touch heavy with that vertical grip. Quite happy with my 350D, but I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that 10-22.. :)

Yep, the white car (with swissol) dries itself. Just drive it around the block and it is done.
