Now that Bevan and ducktape are out, would there be anyone that can help me out with the stereo?

Not sure Max - I have nil experience in that area of MX-5s so I can only offer moral support and sarcastic criticism 8) Anyone else coming with knowledge of the NA stereo fitting business?

Haha thats OK John..... I might tag along regardless as I might (?) be able to help out with something at least.... if not then I can provide some coke as a bare minimum

Regarding the head unit, it seems as though there is NO WHERE to mount the thing at all?? Is there supposed to be some kind of mounting tray in there? Because I'm missing one

What a day! Just come in from the shed. Roll call- me Dave, Garry, Agro, Marty. Installed two NB Bars - mine & Dave's. Also installed stealth two way radio in mine, Garry spent some time with Marty fine tuning the fit of the SP air box on Marty's car, Marty & Garry fixed an exhaust rattle, and Agro now has bling vent rings! Woohoo!

BD Roll bars - Bloodyaweful Design! having watched the NA bar go on Smiles' car last weekend it appears that they simply moved the stay to allow for the glass window and ignored all the rest of the changes to the NB body shell. Result is that the fit is far from desireable, the underbody plates that go beneath the bar bolts have to be modified substantially to even look like fitting, and now they are in we have lost around 1.5 inches of seat travel! Not happy - Dave & I are big guys and need every bit of room we can get. All of this could be fixed easily if the bars were better designed and thought out. I'll sort out my pictures and post a blow by blow description soon.
If you are thinking of buying a bar I would suggest looking at the way these mount and mayn=be approaching a local manufacturer with some dimensions and see if you cant get it done better - either that or look at importing one of the US bars. Big thanks to Garry and Marty for helping out. Craig woosed out - still recovering from Mardi Gras apparently....
