I have a Sony deck at home that needs to go in as well, however I cant work out for the life of me how to mount it somewhere.... All ready to go in however I dont know how to mount it!

If I tag along can you guys help me out a bit.. ? If it's ok with John :) I think I'll need to bring more coke this time too :P :mrgreen:


Make sure you get the wiring adaptors so you dont have to destroy the factory harness.

Done mate :) I have both the factory loom and the sony loom at home, at the moment the wires are just sitting in my dash (insulated of course)

Exhaust leak will need refixing. Will unbolt the CAT from the chassis like Gilly has suggested before and see if that works. To get to it i'll need to take the underbody bracing off first though.

A polish on the muffler would be great! :)

Andrew, don't worry about visiting BD. Thanks though. Simone would be speaking to him anyway so hopefully it'll be installed by next week.

While yours is in the air getting looked at for your exhaust leak, mine should go up as well as I have a rattle at 3500rpm.

hey maxwolfie...im taggin along so bevan can help with my headunit install also :)

is there any supercheap or auto stores around that area?

Yeha we can see if we can help you mount it. Mine is mounted on cable ties at the moment though so hopefully one of the other guys will have a better solution. :)

No probs Max - Bevan can explain the inner workings of the head unit to all, and I'm still working on where to mount my two way radio for stealth. There's a Super Cheeeep in Mulgoa Rd at Penrith (just off M4), Geoffro's shop in Henry St, Auto 1 in Batt St and a swag of others, so no problems with gathering bits if you need em. We'll look for Matty's rattle (and his dummy too, in case he spits it :) ) and generally fall about laughing :lol: :roll: and Craig can offer sage advice on why you should never be seen under a car with Bevan... :oops:
