Another sill protector question

Postby mightyrollaman » Wed Mar 01, 2006 12:41 am

I tried to remove my stainless sill protectors the other day, expecting them to come free after removing the screws. They didn't. They seem to be glued down. Any tips for removing them without damage as I'm keen to have a look underneath them.

Cheers.

They are stuck with double sided tape. Get them nice and warm and prise up gently.

Cheers Garry.

Are there holes underneath allowing you to have a look inside the sill?

Nope, just the screw holes. The chrome sill protectors were not standard on older models, therefor the sills were usually visible.

I just took the plastic trim off the sill and as well as the screw holes there is about 3 or 4 other holes large enough to see through into the sill area.
