Check out the EBC website for distributors. I had one just down the road, they told me that to get green stuff they would need to get them in from UK but the redstuff was in the country and was delivered the next day. Oh and that is on NA8 brakes.

I got my Greenstuff within 2 days last week :?


You definitely dont want them to have to order stuff from England though, it took 5+ weeks for my rear pads for my Skyline to get here because they kept on forgetting to pack them with orders. 5 weeks for airmail is a tad silly

ive got bendix advance all round and im having a sh*t of a time getting them to bed properly....
should i just drive then around town a lot for the first hundred or so kays or should i do the "hard stop" bed in procedure????
the rotors are in pretty good condition and i gave them a light scuff over when changing pads like i do with all the other pads ive changed but these advance pads just dont want to know :cry:

I have to take the car in for its enginneering inspection for the turbo, and im afraid that they will reject it on poor brakes, and i dont think they are gonna wear the "they really are good brakes, they are just bedding in " excuse.

Did you change rotors as well as pads or only pads?
If only pads you can pretty much do the bedding in process straight up. But aren't Bendix pads bedded in from the box? they will take some time to be mated to the rotor face but that's only about a week or so of city driving.

I have an issue with my rear Bendix Advance pads. On the outside surface the pads are only contacting half of the rotor on both wheels. The inside surface is fine. They've been on the car for about 5000km and they still haven't seated in properly. It's like the pad surface isn't machined true with the backing plate. :shock:

The old stock pads worked fine so I dont think it's a rotor issue.

Garry: i know whet you mean..... when i took off the pads because they just felt crap, i noticed that the pad had uneven wear/texture accross the surface which bugs me some what... so far ive done more than 2000k's on them and thay still have stuff all feel and grip.

OK, well I'll add one here... we're not well serviced with brake shops here on the Nothside, so I went to my choice (of one out of one :? ) and asked him what pads to get that would be better than stock/Bendix and stand up to a bit of track work etc.

He convinced us (me and Boags) to try the TWR pads - better for track work than Bendix, cheaper than the esoteric performance pads, work well from cold...

They were actaully only a bit more exy than Bendix Advance in the finish. From memory the fronts for my car were $90 or thereabouts.

I fitted them front and rear for the track day at QR this morning. They probably weren't as fully bedded in as you'd like when we took to the track, really only a trip top the shops and the hour and a bit drive out to Willowbank.

Result? I am very pleased with them. I was presumably slowing dowm from faster speeds than most, since I was doing the quickest laps :evil: and apart from a bit of resin stink after the first session (presumably from being not bedded in properly) thay were perfect. I started out a wee bit tentative - new pads and all plus I've only dríven QR once before - but by the time we got to try the National Circuit which is a real stinker on brakes I was really stamping on them. Not even a trace of going off. We were doing 1 warmup/5 timed/1 cooldown lap, in theory, though I reckon it was six once or twice.

So TWR pads get the thumbs up for price/performance from me.

BUT they were said to be very dusty, and yes - I can vouch for that too!

I have advance and i'm not happy with them either. :?

Before them I had ultimates.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I've had my Greenstuff in for a couple of weeks now, given them a couple of hard runs and theyre great. The standard pads (which still had heaps of meat on them) would get hot and lose their bite after about 7 or 8 minutes on a good hills run. With the Greenstuff I can go for an hour and not have any fade. Very good around town and when cold too

Funny...I'm really happy with my RB74's. No fade, pretty quiet and definately no squealing.

Now if I could just get the handbrake to stay nice and tight fr longer than a couple of months.

I also suffered a stone a couple of years back. Made a horrible sound.

but for those that are in brissy/gold coast... where would be the best place to get new brake pads?? the NA front brakes are a lil bit out of date :|

Anywhere else between gold coast and brissy will be fine just need them pretty soon... the constant squeeling is getting pretty annoying!

Does anyone have experiences with the Comp3 Race Brakes??

I'm thinking about getting comp2 at the rear and comp3's or RB74's at the front. Considering the Hawk HP Plus too, cos it seem the RB74's arn't as good as I though.
