Suspension bushes

Postby gregord » Sat Feb 11, 2006 10:47 pm

I need to replace the suspension bushes in my NA.
I used nylothane on another car and found that it was unacceptably harsh. I would like good handling, but not a ride too harsh to enjoy.
Rubber, nylothane or something else?

urethane ones aren't too harsh on an MX, but may need regreasing down the line. Mazdaspeed in the US can supply stiffer-than-OEM rubber ones.

Not really answering your question but wondering how you know that your bushes are gone. Visually mine look okay but have been running heavy 15 wheels for awhile and 75000 kms.

Suspension bushes

I believe the bushes are gone because of the following clues:
clunks in the suspension (I have new shocks)
I got underneath wiht a bar and found movement in the control arms

Experience!
