Can i put these wheels on my MX5?

I have been looking at getting a new set of rims for my NA, and i have found some Lenso wheels that look nice. They are 16x7, 4x100pcd, +25 or a +40 offset.

Size1670 4H PCD 100-108 ET+25 +40

Would have have any trouble fitting the +25 offset wheels to my car? I know that the +40 will fit no problems, but i would prefer the +25 offset. Will i have any problems like guard rubbing? Will they stick out too far? Will i stuff my wheel bearings?

any help is very appreciated.

I got +25 offset plus 7" wide rim and use skinnier tyres or else they will scrub

+25 offset and 7" wide rims seats perfect on the mx5

btw i got a NB, so dont know if it will fit the NA

Ask Justin Fox or Babalouie, they got crazy offsets with they NA

+22 14inch here but the front needed some 5mm spacers to clear the 1.8litre brale calipers. I have bought some quality H&R$ german spacers and had no problems to date.

+14 for me with a 6.5in rim, but I reckon for a 7in rim a +25 offset will require rolling...you'd almost get away with it I think but ultimately it would scrub...

i got 15"x7" with +25 on an NA8C

have 205/55 semis on it... if it was lowered abt 1.5-2inches .. it would scrub!!
im on stock setting coilovers.
mind you, semis have very square side walls. so bit more comparable to 16" maybe? i would assume u def need to roll fenders if u wanted 16".

Out of interest, do you know how much those rims weigh? And how much they cost?

They'd look great on your NA! Although with a such a prominant blue stripe I'd be looking at a colour that was more complimentary than black. Maybe gold (a la Gurglr's TE37s) or a light gun metal grey.

My CE28's are 16x7 +25 on an NB8B.

With my D01's in 205/50-16 they were rubbing all over the place, even after getting the guards rolled and lipped. The worst part was the mounting tab where the front guard and front bumper meet just forward of the wheel arch.

I removed that tab and reconnected the bumper and guards with zip ties and most of the rubbing was gone except the odd little brush with the front wheel liner.

BTW, my car is lower than standard but you wouldn't call it ridiculously low. I've recently fitted GSD3's in 205/45-16 and there's no rubbing whatsoever. I think the higher profile and square edge on the D01's were the source of most of my troubles.

Sorry cant comment on the fitting but they'd look hot on your car, be similar to the look Dino has achieved which looks way hot!

Yeah they come in a gold, and light grey centre, i was going to get the light grey ones.... They sound as though they will scrub on the NA, unless i go to a low 45profile tyre, which is what i was going to run anyway, but i think i will do a bit more research first. As for weight i have no idea, lenso's usually aint too bad. Price is around the $180-200 per rim.. so not bad..

Looks like those Lensos were "inspired" by the Volk Te37 Cup:

But I think if you roll your guards they'll be fine. My wheels are 6.5in wide with a +14 offset so those 16x7 +25s will stick out 5mm less than my wheels. I've had the car on full opposite lock on the track with no rubbing so I think that would work fine.

if you get your guards rolled just hang round while they do it and get them to test the wheel arch after they do it, they can flare the guard out a fair amount to clear smaller offsets, but the more you get flared the more chance you have of cracking paint... will look great though.
