Just wondered if anyone has done any research to locate seat foam for the part you sit on.
I spoke to an upholsterer today who said I should be able to buy the foam section already moulded which would be far cheaper than him making one up.
Any ideas where to look?

My problem is the oem seat has been recovered in leather which is now bubbling on the seat cushion. Apparently there are hog rings down the channel of the seat cushion which have come adrift. I might pull it apart myself and see if they can be reattached. Just thought someone else may have had the same problem...

The hog rings attach to metal rods that are cast into the foam. It's more likely that the rods have deattched themselves from the foam than the hog rings coming off. If the rest of the seat foam is still servicable it's possible to bodgy up the rods back into the foam again with some cable ties and a patch on the other side of the foam which should get you out of trouble for a few more years which would be considerably cheaper than new foam.
A tip is to cut off the old hog rings with side cutters and then reattach the leather seat facings with cable ties. They are much easier to use than hog rings and just as effective.
