Trying to locate steering column surround for 1992 mx5

Hi all,

The car I'm buying is having insurance repairs carried out after a break in... car is completely ready to go (new stereo and soft top) except they can't seem to get hold of a steering column surround... anyone work at mazda?

Surely it's not that hard to find this part... i couldn't really care if it were new or used... I wonder if they are only looking for used ones?

I have a bank cheque made out to the current owner of the mx5, but I can't buy it until the insurance co returns the car. Any ideas?
