Hi All, does anyone have any expirence with these Starcorp racing wheels
I'm looking at the 16x7" and for $200 each, thought they might be the ticket for track days as they only weigh 6kg's
Cheers Rob

I went to look at them on Tempe Tyres site, pity no prices shown.
The also have a "Starcorp Racing RaceLace - Silver" which would also look great on an NA but they don't show the wheel weights for them.
-EDIT-
Forum sponsor MX5 Mania also stock them ..

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Mr_Q any issues with rubbing or balancing the wheels?
Okibi, Mania seem to be the cheapest, most others ive tried are around 1k even, Mania will get the sale if they have stock
Nice wheels, but would be a nitemare to clean and since i live on a dirt rd would be to impractial for me.

Nope. I'm on the ever popular Koni/King suspension combo with the Konis on the middle perch at the front and lowest at the rear. The wheels fit nicely with no rubbing at all.
Tyres are 205/45s which aren't too uncomfortable for day to day driving.
The wheels have picked up a couple of chips (as opposed to the gutter scrape Mrs Q assures me was someone elses fault ) which I've never had on alloy wheels before. I guess this is the drawback of being cheap. The chips are nothing major and certainly won't bother you if they're mainly for the track, but you wouldn't want to use them on a show car.

Simmons OM3 16x8, I think they were “custom†made to suit the offset required.
The only Wheel Weights i could find were for 18X8 OMs at 26.5 lbs each

RobbieRat,
Currently running the starcorps in your picture as purchased from Mania. In 15x6.5 they weigh about 5.1kg which is about 150g each less than the stock NB8A wheels. They're shod with Yokie ES100s in 205/50/15s and this conbo has done 2 tarmac rallies (Qld challenge/Kilcoy Road Rally) as well as a full track day and I've had no problems with them yet. I scored a few paint chips on the rear wheels on the Kilcoy Rally but there was a fair amount of dirt road on that event so I guess that's to be expected. The polished/machined lip looks cool and they're pretty easy to clean...
Cheers,
T

I've had the Starcorps on my car for over a year now, and I'm still happy with them, although they are becoming a bit too common for my taste.
After a year driving through potholes etc., I am happy to report that they are still round, and haven't buckled.
The other Starcorp wheels yo usee advertised from Tempe are NOT light.
This 5 spoke style is the only one that is forged. All the others are cast (read heavy).
