recommend audio installer in melbourne for NA

Postby gbernard » Tue Jan 03, 2006 2:12 pm

I am looking for a recommendation for an audio installer in Melbourne, who is familiar, or who has done a good job on installing a head unit, amp, replacement door and headrest speakers and a sub in a 1989 NA.

I had Central Car Radios in Brighton work on my '92 NA , Back in '93. They did a great job, custom sub-box on rear parcel shelf (2x10"). Don't want to take work away from "Me" though

Cheers

Thanks Me, I really didn't want to have any involvement in it, i am happy to pay well for the job, as long as it is done without any other damage or incidental problems.

Yes or you come back to your car to find they have used a piece of black plastic ribbed mind you to fill the gap between the din and the OEM pocket... thats what they did to my NA. I went off my brain (because they told me that would use a pocket when I first enquired) at them and it was like... stiff it was all we had and the guy that booked the job in was away

That was the audio place on Keilor Rd diagnolly opposite the Mazda Dealer... and a few years ago now, mind you.

I understand amanda, as that was one of the things that happened to me last time.

Hence my request for someone who had had a good experience with an installer, or someoen who knows an installer who has done several before.

that's alright. remember to check out the caa website. when u visit the car audio shops, ask the shop owner to show u their demo car and the cars in their workshop. get urself a 97 centre console before u handover ur 5. good luck.

Will do Me, thanks again for your generous offer, I also have the 97 din sized console fitted already.

On another note, are the pre97 (smaller than standard din) consoles still available new ?
