Mid week southern run - Ditched in favour of Fish and Chips!

Postby Gilly71 » Tue Jan 03, 2006 11:12 am

The guests have gone home, and I still have a week before going back to work. the palms are itchy and the five is getting withdrawl symptoms sitting in the garage...ideas :?:

Southern Run ditched due to lack of interest, fish chips instead :D

How about a Sunday arvo run up to Iguana Joes for afternoon drinks and then maybe dinner? :)

Drive Inn Cinema is always fun too, but only a little drive as such :)

Well actually I was partial to a mid week run down south through the Kangaroo Valley.

Hoping there is someone else who knows these roads better than me, otherwise the plan is:

Tommorrow morning 0730-0800 at the Bunnings carpark at Norwest. We'll take a leisurely stroll down the (free) M7 cut across to Heathcote rd, divert through the National Park, Stanwell, the new bulli pass rd, turn right at the illawarra hwy through Macquarie Pass turn left down the Kangaroo Valley, lunch at Berry then head back up either the same way or divert through the highlands up the back way to Mittagong, onto the Hume Hwy for an express ride home...

Tommorrow's not much notice I know, but I 'm keen and the traffic should still be light...any takers?

Why don't you guys organise a run to the Road Warriors cafe after picking your way through the fires so that I can meet you guys there and finally meet some of you?

Sounds like a perfectly good idea to me

Yeah, fish and chips sounds more realistic. I'll put the southern run on hold until a better weekend.

Could the forum god please delete this thread?
