Continentals?

Postby waynus » Sun Dec 25, 2005 2:02 am

Looking for a set of new tyres to replace my stock ones on 14" rims.
I've been recommended the Continental Contipremium contact tyre which i've been told were head and shoulders better than anything else for a 14" rim.
I don't recall reading on this forum if anyone has tried this tyre. In fact, i don't think Continental tyres have ever been mentioned at all, have they?

I think Blackmax is a Continental stalwart. As soon as the stock Turanzas wore out on his NB8B he had a set of Contact Contisports fitted. He had used them before on previous cars and was quite happy with them.

They usually do well in the car magazine tyre tests.

I've heard they are good. My brother had them standard on his VW passat and he loved them. But when it was time to change them he was quoted $400 each!!! (for 17" rims).
So i guess for 14" rims at $140, it's not too bad.
