QLD - Lights run?

Postby sabretooth » Sun Dec 18, 2005 11:27 pm

Is there going to be a Christmas lights run on this year for the QLD club? I noticed that a GC one was scheduled for today, but saw nothing of it on the MX-5 club QLD e-mail list.

Anyone know for sure?

Nothing was scheduled for Brisbane this year.

I was looking at doing an informal run, we are going to scope out a route tonight. Planning to make it happen for Friday night...

I'd be in.

There was a question on the Club email list about it. I've posted a teaser there and I"ll put something upi here if we get a few takers.

Mike

PS Brake pad update - got regular Bendix pads in; I got fed up waiting for the Ultimates I ordered from the local ABS. Some places who are supposed to be in buisiness are remarkably hard to buy anything from :(

I'll get the Ultimates from somewhere else and put these in the glove box for emergencies! (though they seem to stop OK, not that I've had the chance to really put them under the hammer yet)

Great!

We have formulated a nice little route. Nothing too complex and under a 100km in total. Starting at Mt Coot-tha lookout and covering Ashgrove, Kenmore, Westlake and Sherwood. Full details will be posted shortly.

Looking at a 7pm kickoff at the lookout.
Optional mountain run afterwards if anyone is up for it?

Hope you can all make it :)

Rhys

We had a couple of takers on the list.

Rhys, Miranda posted the run on the general chat Yahoo list, but I'd like to put it on the Announcements list which goes to all Club members. Lots of them aren't on the chat list or the forum. Is that OK ?

Looks like we will have a nice turnout :)

To confirm, the run will start at 7pm Friday night at the Mt Coot-tha lookout.
The run will be 2 or so hours. If there is interest, we will finish off at a cafe for coffee etc. The exact route isn't finalised yet, but I'll post it when complete.

Mike, that sounds good, thanks!
