Sway bars which is best???

I want front and rear adj. swaybars. Any thoughts on which are best? I am thinking of getting whiteline bars from Mania.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

We use them on the race cars so they work well. Cheaper than the imported ones and probably similarly balanced when adjusted to suit the car.

Thanks for the advice CT. Any advice on the best track setting...or is this a racers secret?

Best just to get the front bar and try that first,don't really need to go to a stiff bar on the rear.

Why is that Lou? Traction probs? I have actually ordered both this afternoon so maybe I will leave the rear one loose to start with.

Also I ahve just realised that I did not state whether I wanted the 16mm or the 24mm. What do you reckon is best for an occasional track car? I was thinking that 24mm would be OK given they are adjustable.

Mx5s tend to be a bit oversteery....stiffen up the rear and it just makes that worse...

24mm is usually the front size and the rear would be 16mm.

I ditched the rear Whiteline adjustable 16mm and got a 14mm made up instead. Much better. I found it to understeery with the 24mm Whiteline front bar and stock 12mm rear bar, especially in the wet.

NFI what brand mine were as such, as EastCoast Suspension fitted them, but they were 3mm larger front and rear, and it was spot on for neutral handling. Some people report taily handling but maybe all bars aint the same? :mrgreen:

Thanks for the advice Garry, Lou and Craig. Sounds like I will need to do some experimentation to find my most preferred set up. A few laps of the putty road perhaps...all in the name of science

Garry - who made your 14mm bar?
