SP radiator hose replacement.

Hi Members
I want to replace the hose as it is against the intercooler piping.
Who has done this before and can anyone remember what part they bought to do it. Does another vehicles fit better without touching.
I want to replace not just cut and move because it looks a bit melted and soft when heated.
Thanks in advance

Ive found this annoying aswell the ic piping just before IM gets super hot from the upper rad hose. Its too hot to touch after a spirited drive.
Im worried this might be fecking around with performance as it might be heatin up the air after the intercooler has done its work and the IAT sensor is also on this piping which may be heating it up and giving the ecu inaccurate readings? Might be why some sps run so rich ableto shed some light?
Ive been out and about trying to find an alternative shape so that it doesnt touch but no luck, ended up wrapping the hose in exhaust wrap where it touches and it seems to have helped a little not so much on long drives.piping is still hot but i can at least touch it

Let us know how u go!
Even a coolant reroute would be difficult just because of where the entry is with the radiator

BigDog, are those stainless steel braided lines on your oil filter relocation block?
They look like they rub the chassis and some hoses/wires.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid because I've seen photos where stainless steel braided hoses have sawed through intercooler piping and cut into the chassis, but I'd clad them in split loom to limit this from happening.

Correct Lokiel. I have insulated them in various spots with rubber, no issues so far and they've been there for many years now

In case you guys havent seen this.
interesting little article on insulating the return of your intercooler piping
http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.ht ... n&A=109587
I'd probably use some more purpose made materials for insulating personally but you get the idea.
got a few plans for under bonnet heat management
just recieved my PTP turbo blanket and plan to get a shielding for the turbo manifold and dump pipe too.

You can kind of see it here. It is no longer touching the intercooler pipe.

I can see the little gap between the rad hose and IC pipe, looks good!
I'll probably do the same and end up insulating the piping in my plan to reduce heat soak too.
clean engine bay btw! did you paint your reservoir bottles black?
