What inlet manifold - GTX/GTR engine?

Postby Eeyore » Fri Aug 12, 2016 11:02 am

When doing a GTX/GTR Familia engine conversion can you use the NA inlet manifold? I seem to recall the heads being similar. I have seen people cut and modify the FWD Familia manifolds but this seems less that ideal.

If it's the BP-05 head which I think it is then yes the NA8 Intake will bolt right on.

NA8 will bolt straight on. The only different between a BP-05 and BP-26 head is some small bumps in the intake ports.

Use the nb8b/c manifold flows the best rather than the na8/nb8a

NB manifolds wont work as the flanges on the manifold are different.

Intake is easily available. I found more expense in the oil pickup/pan. Not relevant to this question but something I went through. Also need to block off/ weld the heater core pipe thingo near the thermostat housing. I squashed and brazed mine. I have tried Un successfully to pull it out.

What difficulties did you come across? Can't I just use an NA sump and pickup when doing the swap?
