They told me this a while ago, see how they prove to work. The conrods on an ND are like a Sharpie pen.

...and with 14:1 compression!
There is reasonable potential for power in these Skyactiv-G engines though, given some lower comp Pistons and forged internals. I have heard that the heads breathe quite well.

Unfortunately wrong on all counts.....
13:1 compression for the ND 2.0 SAG engine.
Goodwin Racing in the US has bench flowed the 2.0 SAG head (no inlet or exhaust manifolds) and it's about 20% less than the BP 1.8 head, and a LOT less than the NC head. The suggestion is that Skyactive tech is more reliant on flow speed than flow volumes so porting the head may cause unexpected issues.

Well there you go. Can't always believe what you hear in the pits I guess. Having said that, velocity can be used to advantage as well...

I'm sure they'll sort out the flow issue unless there isn't enough material in the head.
At least it's easy to get a turbo on RHD models unlike the NC, these things will be a weapon with some power!

I thought even audi and bimmer weren't ready to take electric supers to market?
It seems like the ultimate DIY FI set up. No drilling the sump, no exhaust changes and no drive belts.

I'd be concerned with engineering as it would have to meet 2015 emission laws.

Seeing as there is no testing facility that can test past ADR 37/01 (Euro 2) in the country (since Ford and Toyota have shut down their engine labs, not that Joe public could use them) so that is all they can test to.
