SC 14 mounting brackets

Hi all,
As a forum newbie, I thought I would test the available knowledge bank. Does anyone know where I can get sc14 mounting brackets to suit my NA6 made up in South Australia?

Unless you have decided that the SC14 is the right part for your very specific racing class, there is no way in hell I would do it.

That's an interesting response, why would you say that?
I have heard of and seen several SC14 powered MX5's and the owners of the cars were not complaining. The only bloke not happy was running his with standard ECU and injectors and no intercooler.
I am keen to listen to your reasoning on the matter.

Horrible value for money and endless headaches if you dont spend up first time on the hardware to make it reliable, on top of that bugger all performance potential and no upgrade path.

Nitro Dann tubular manifold, Volvo TD04 turbo with WRX compressor wheel.
Intercooler,exhaust, MS3, and a good tune.

Hey mate. Welcome to the forum.

I won't get into the turbo vs supercharger debate but did prefer SC for my purposes. That and I've never had one before.

Any decent fab place should be able to make up a custom bracket or you could always do it yourself with a bit of time and effort. Personally I wanted the SC14 over the MP45 but also wanted to retain my air con.

Was not aware of any setup issues with the SC14 but if Dann says there is headaches then I would tend to believe him.

Thanks for your input. Yes I have read a lot of posts from Dann. He seems to be an exceedingly knowledgeable bloke. I might contact him direct through Facebook to discuss the turbo options.
I am being lazy re the turbo, I just can't face having to pull the sump off and drilling holes in it. I have only just got the motor back in the car after a major rebuild.

The issue is that the brackets have to line up perfectly, be adjustable, and yet be incredibly stiff, they also have to have a design that gives significant belt wrap.
Its just way harder than it sounds to do it, so for such poor performance with no upgrade path, why not buy a proven kit?

Note: most people who turbo their n/a MX5 do not remove the sump. Ive never done it really, maybe if the engine was out already.
