Turbo auto na

Hi all,
Wanted to know if I would run into many problems installing a turbo on a auto na enuos roadster. Any help would be great cheers.

That would be a really cool daily cruiser. Yes the auto gearboxes are known to be very tough, the only thing to look into is whether the gearbox needs the OEM ecu at all, if not (90% sure its a oldschool dumb slushbox with no extra brains that arent mechanical and therefore doesnt have electronics for it) just turbo it.

Turbos are great on Autos in general.
I have no idea why people convert Toyota Chaser and MArk2 to Manual, the auto is just so perfectly suited to the car and the power delivery.

i was told the mx5 auto is the same as the jatco auto in vl commodores,if so it will be more than capable.Ive seen those things take a lot of abuse in VL's and just keep going.

Autos in general seem to be able to cope with more grunt than an equivalent manual.
WHen you think about it, the fact it uses a torque converter means that it softens the sudden thump of power that dumping the clutch gives.
The main thing that kills them is heat, so you may want to look into a trans cooler if it gets a bit hot (shouldn't be expensive, they use them all the time on tow cars)
I'd be looking at putting in a 1.8 diff too, since with a turbo auto you will do burnouts. You won't be able to resist.

We have a auto turbo na that we built out of bits
We use it for dirt motorkanas
there was no mechanical problems
only thing to watch out for is the box is a bit bigger and the exhaust pipe runs very close to it
not a problem if you use a custom pipe
Biggest problem has been the computer
I think the original cars use a slightly different main computer and an extra one for the box and they talk to each other
We are using a EMS with a home made extra one to work the box
It's alright for what we are doing with it , we only use 1st and 2nd
I don't know how you would go with a road car , you should run an aftermarket computer but I don't know of any that will work the box
I have a friend who is a great with computers and he's been having trouble
I think we worked out the box wasn't a VL box but the same as an early RX7
In short the mechanical side of the conversion is easy, it's the electronics that are hard
Maybe you should find someone that has put an aftermarket computer on an auto car turbo or otherwise

Is there anyway to tell if box needs ecu?
I thought early 1.6 didn't have ecu for box

Isn't the jzx100 auto much taller though?
